INFORMAL BUSINESS MEETINGS Why not reward your staff with a break at Woodhill! . We can arrange corporate packages from one day events to 2 night breaks. Try your hand at clay target shooting, fishing, quad bike safari or a murder mystery evening. CORPORATE DAYS AND MINI BREAKS AT WOODHILL THE PERCY PACKAGE A day in the country with activities and fine cuisine from only £120 per person. Arrive about 9.30am at Woodhill Hall, a beautiful Victorian mansion set in its own grounds. Coffee will be served in the Victorian dining room. The rest of the days activities will be presented to you. Then to nearby
Girsonfield and Otterburn Sporting Clays, where you will meet your clay target
instructor. Even if you have never fired a shotgun before training will be
given.After your safety briefing, practise and coffee break there will be a small competition to test out your skills. LUNCH a lunch will be served at Woodhill hall. This will be freshly cooked for you with a choice of menus. After lunch we go off only 4 miles through the Rede valley to Woolaw farm. Here you will be given a safety briefing and training on the handling of the quad bikes. Then its off around this Northumbrian Hill farm with its waterfall, history, wildlife and farm animals. You will sample the day to day life on a Northumbrian hill farm Afternoon tea will be served at Woodhill with a prize giving to the best sports person of the day! 5.00pm Time for home! Transport can be arranged for you from
Newcastle Airport, Edinburgh Airport, Hexham rail station etc.
THE REDE PACKAGE A two day - one night break from only £295 per person including all meals and activities. Start the day at Woodhill Hall a beautiful Victorian mansion
set in its own grounds. Here you will be served tea and coffee in the drawing
room on arrival. Your host will explain exactly how your short break will work.
YOUR QUAD BIKE SAFARI: - After coffee we go through the Rede valley for 4 miles to Woolaw farm. Here you will be given a safety briefing and training on the handling of the quad bikes. Then its off around this Northumbrian Hill farm with its waterfall, history, wildlife and farm animals. You will sample the day to day life on a traditional Northumbrian farm. LUNCH is back to Woodhill to be served in a dining room from a bygone Victorian age. There is a choice of menu and all the food is produced especially for you. After lunch, perhaps take a walk in the woods and watch the birds from our bird hide. You may want to relax and use the hot tub with its views over the Rede valley. Try the sauna or just laze in the beautiful gardens at Woodhill. Dinner is served at 7.00pm and the
evening entertainment is a choice of either a murder mystery evening or
Northumbrian music. Next morning, after a leisurely breakfast, you will travel a mile to Girsonfield and Otterburn Sporting Clays, where you will meet your clay target instructor. Even if you have never fired a shotgun before, training will be given in order for you to participate safely. After your safety briefing, practise and coffee break there will be a small competition to test out your newfound skills. LUNCH follows back at Woodhill with a friendly prize giving before relaxing for the afternoon and leaving at your leisure. THE HOTSPUR PACKAGE A short break for between 6 and 10 people mid week, a two night three-day break. The cost per person is £395 including all meals and activities. Arrive between 2pm and 4pm we will take afternoon tea in the Victorian lounge and discuss the program of events to follow. Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring Woodhill hall and its grounds. The gardens and lawns, the bird hide, the hot tub where you can relax and drink in the views over the Rede valley. This evening, a three-course dinner is served in the dining room where you can choose from a variety of menus, with Greek and Italian specialities, freshly prepared for you by your hostess Day 2 Breakfast is served for you before you travel just 4 miles through the Rede Valley to Woolaw farm at Rochester for your quad bike safari. Here you will meet the Chapman family who will train you how to ride a quad bike. Then its off around the hills in this most beautiful part of the country. See the waterfall, the strange writing on the rock, the wildlife, the roman and Anglo Saxon settlements, learn about farming today. LUNCH back to Woodhill for a light lunch in the Victorian dining room. After which you are free to explore, perhaps Otterburn Mill only a short walk away, or stay at Woodhill and try the hot tub, the sauna or just relax in the gardens. Keen fishermen may try
their luck in the river Rede and for beginners, fly fishing instruction can be
arranged (at an extra cost) for you locally. Dinner is a three-course meal served in the dining room followed by either a murder, mystery evening; where actors bring all the thrills of detecting and solving mysteries to you, or a traditional Northumbrian musical evening for you to enjoy. Day 3 After the usual hearty breakfast its across the fields to Girsonfield and Otterburn Sporting Clays only 1 mile away. Here you will meet your instructor for the morning. You will learn the skills and safety aspects of handling a shotgun before trying your hand at Clay Target shooting. This is a sport the basics of which are simple to learn also both men and women can participate in on an equal level, and of course great fun. After a coffee break, its time for a mini competition to test your newfound skills. Lunch is served back at the manor once again prepared using the freshest of produce. More time to relax and explore. Visit some of our Roman settlements, visit local artists in their studios, shop in the unique centre of Bellingham with its heritage and holistic centres. Depart after goodbyes and a mini awards ceremony at Woodhill. |
